Alive Energy has acquired Green Storage Farm S.R.L., a stand-alone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project with 82.8 MW installed capacity and 181 MWh storage capacity in South-East Europe. The project has already achieved Ready-to-Build (RtB) status and received approval under the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screening process.

The project represents an estimated investment of around €25 million, with construction expected to begin in Q2 2026 and commissioning targeted for Q1 2027. Once operational, the facility will connect to the grid at 33 kV and operate as an independent storage asset designed to deliver grid balancing and flexibility services.

Technically, the project is designed for approximately 700 operational cycles per year, using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology. The system will be deployed through a modular containerized architecture integrating battery management systems, power conversion systems, and energy management platforms.

This acquisition strengthens Alive Energy’s integrated renewable generation and storage platform in South-East Europe, where the company continues to expand its presence in flexible energy infrastructure.

The group currently operates around 500 MW of installed renewable capacity, alongside a pipeline of projects progressing toward construction, positioning storage as a key component of its regional growth strategy.
