ENOVA Expands Lower Saxony Wind Pipeline With 21 MW Thüle Stake
April 16, 2026
3 min read

ENOVA has secured 21 MW in the Thüle wind farm project in Cloppenburg district after acquiring the project rights for three of the site’s six planned turbines and finalising financing at the same time. The project is being developed with Jade Concept and uses six Nordex N175 turbines rated at 6.8 MW each. ENOVA will own three turbines, while local landowners will operate the other three. Commercial operations are scheduled for autumn 2027.

The signal is not just another German wind acquisition. ENOVA is using a repeatable local-partnership model to scale in Lower Saxony: acquire part of a project, leave part with landowners, and move quickly from rights acquisition to financed execution. That matters because speed, financing certainty, and regional familiarity are becoming more valuable than simply securing early-stage pipeline.

The Thüle deal is ENOVA’s second transaction with Jade Concept. In November 2025, ENOVA acquired its first Lower Saxony wind project from the same developer. That greenfield scheme includes six Nordex N163 turbines of 7 MW each, with ENOVA again taking three turbines and local landowners retaining three.

At Thüle, ENOVA’s share is expected to generate more than 65,000 MWh annually. That gives the company more operating scale in a region it already knows well, while reducing execution friction through an established developer relationship and a familiar co-ownership structure.

Commercially, this points to a clear strategy: ENOVA is not chasing scattered assets. It is building density in known onshore wind regions through structured project-rights acquisitions tied to immediate financing and shared local participation.
