In a major boost for France’s clean energy ambitions, IDEX Group has secured $139.24 million in financing from Crédit Agricole CIB to accelerate the development of solar energy projects nationwide. This strategic funding supports IDEX’s mission to expand its subsidy-free, decentralized solar infrastructure—empowering communities and businesses to embrace sustainable energy independence.

The financing arrangement, structured for solar contracts extending up to 20 years, represents a significant vote of confidence in IDEX’s long-term renewable vision. Crédit Agricole CIB’s support underscores the growing alignment between financial institutions and sustainability-focused enterprises. The funds will directly fuel IDEX’s integrated solar operations, supporting a subsidy-free business model that delivers both reliability and economic value. By leveraging this investment, IDEX aims to accelerate its solar development strategy—prioritizing localized, distributed energy generation that reduces reliance on centralized power grids and fossil fuels.

IDEX’s solar portfolio spans 250 sites across France, reflecting a robust network of distributed generation projects tailored to local needs. A standout initiative within this portfolio includes 12.5 MWp of solar canopies deployed across nine Safran sites, meeting between 10% and 25% of each site’s energy demand. These installations not only enhance corporate sustainability but also promote energy self-consumption, a key pillar in France’s renewable transition. The company’s innovative approach utilizes sealed lands such as car parks and rooftops, transforming underutilized surfaces into clean power assets. With integrated battery storage systems, IDEX ensures optimized energy use, balancing production and consumption for maximum efficiency.

This latest financing milestone positions IDEX to double its installed photovoltaic capacity from 300 MW in 2024 to 600 MW by 2030. The move aligns with France’s national objective to scale up renewable energy generation while empowering local communities to manage their own clean power resources. By developing decentralized and scalable solar systems, IDEX not only strengthens the country’s energy resilience but also creates a replicable model for sustainable growth across Europe.

IDEX’s $139 million financing from Crédit Agricole CIB marks a defining step in France’s renewable transformation. Through innovation, strategic partnerships, and decentralized project development, the company is laying the groundwork for a cleaner, self-sufficient energy future. As solar infrastructure expands across the nation, IDEX stands at the forefront of shaping a truly sustainable power landscape.
